Team Leader - Environmental Health Services

We are looking for someone to lead our Environmental Health Services team.

Environmental Health Services are responsible for providing quality customer service as the face of Council. You will be expected to lead the team ensuring that monitoring, audit, investigation and enforcement activities are conducted as required to ensure compliance and adherence with the appropriate legislative requirements relating to Food, Alcohol, Hygiene, whilst also providing relevant advice relating to Resource Management effects, Building Consenting applications and Environmental effects.

You will be able to provide technical advice and support to other Council staff and the wider public working collectively to inform and educate on matters relating to Food, Alcohol, Hygiene, Resource Management, Building Consenting and Environmental effects. You’ll lead and set expectations for the team and have a good understanding of systems and an ability to provide accurate reports on Food, Alcohol and Environment affects / trends.  

As the Team Leader you’ll ensure that the Environmental Health Team makes an effective contribution in the delivery of Food, Alcohol, Hygiene, Resource Management, Building Consenting and Environmental Services.

You will have experience in an investigative, compliance or enforcement type role, be a skilled investigator with great analytical and report-writing capability, and have experience managing a team.
